Reports have it that the army was divided and as such the loyalty of the GNA top brass was a cause for concern to the corridors of power. Faced by growing unpopularity, the Gambian leader is also accusing his neighbors Senegal of recruiting dissidents to unseat his government. “The President got the impression that once he leaves the country he would not return back.
